Rancho
Mission Viejo Real Estate
Rancho Mission Viejo
homes for sale. RMV is Orange County's newest planned
community and will be developed by the Mission Viejo Company,
who originally created the cities of Mission
Viejo, Rancho Santa
Margarita, Las
Flores, and Ladera
Ranch. This community is located between Ladera
Ranch and San Juan Capistrano, off of the Ortega highway and
Antonio Parkway. The community is being constructed (and
is named for) the historic, 23,000-acre Rancho Mission
Viejo. This was a working cattle ranch and farm, habitat reserve, and
community in unincorporated South Orange County, California.
At one
time, Rancho Mission Viejo was part of a 200,000-acre land
grant given in 1845 to John (Don Juan) Forster, who once owned
thousand of acres of land in South OC.
The first villages
of RMV will consist of Gavilan,
an over 55+ senior community with a resort style recreational
center. Also, Sendero, a mix
of neighborhoods for families, couples and singles (see links
below for a description of homes coming to each neighborhood).
Soon, the new neighborhoods of Rienda. This will
consist of seven new housing developments. There are also plans for a 10 acre retail plaza. Also, office
space, parks, trials, a farm and a community garden. Close
by is the Sendero
Market Place, consisting of numerous stores,
businesses and restaurants, Chase Bank, Rite Aid, and of
course, Starbucks. Rancho
Mission Viejo has committed to 21,000 acres of open space, so
that nature will be in your back
yard. One section is called the Reserve. This
will include an open
space wilderness area that will include nature hikes and other
events and will remain a safe place to 32 sensitive or
endangered species. Check out the community Frequently Asked Questioins, here.
